We have no medical background so this is just our opinions and experiences and other friends who have a story to tell as well.

Acne cure amazes skeptical Dad

Just a quick post  about my sons amazing acne turnaround in the space of 7-9 days.

SO all he did was use Organic apple cider vinegar (2tablespoons) in a big bowl and add 1 litre

of boiling water and he got a clean towel and placed the towel over his head and the bowl

to create a little tent so the steam was rising into his face, the idea is to stay under at least

ten minutes, if its too hot, raise towel for a few seconds but the hotter and longer you stay under there the more effective it will be,

Daniel did this about 4 times in one week and now the girls are asking him out all the time.

So for 4 ten minute sessions his facial skin is much clearer now and he is happy about that.

Juicing -combining fruit and vegetable juices?

This post is in response to a close friend who asked me whydo you have to have seperate fuit and vegetable juices. i.e why can’t you just mix em up together and throw it all down the old hatch?

Well after reading Cherie Calbom book called Juicing for Life she states on page 23 that
“There is no scientific basis for the theory of food combining” but because some people
such as those with impaired digestion, multiple food allergies or severe fatigue benefit physically
from have ing seperate juices and by the sound of it there must be quite a few people like that.
So yes you can mix fruit and vegetables juices together , just be aware that fruit has a much higher
sugar content even though it is natural sugars, generally our modern diet is high in sugars
especially processed sugars so we should be reducing sugars not increasing them. As for me I have
a sweet tooth (lots actually) so I make sure to steer clear of any added sugar content.
I still eat chocolate anyway but at least I,m more controlled about it now.
THe other benefit of using more vegetables than fruit is there is way more beneficial vitamons and minerals
in veges than fruit

March workshop Update

Thanks to the people that came to our workshop to educate themselves on basic healthly ideas to improve their lives. simple changes that are easy to do but will add up to a much

healthier you, stuff like swapping iodised salt which is a poison in your body to Sea salt

or himalayan salt, some say it is expensive but I say what cost your health, money cannot buy back your health,a dying man/woman on their deathbed never worries about how much money isin the bank but where his family and friends are and how are they.

Unfortunately we take our health for granted but until you lose a portion of it yo dont realise

how precious it really is. I,m not saying be a health freak but there are so many little changes you can make that will make a difference.

So go ahead make some changes and take charge of your health and dont be a passive bystander.

We are glad to be organising the March healthy living workshop .

we have a guest speaker Mr ANdy Snelling from Elimbah who is s specialist in the

fresh vegetable juicing area. He has a proper masticating type juicer that squeezes the juice out rather than centrifugal force which destroys most of the vitamins and minerals

Potato Poultice cure

HOW I USED A RAW POTATO TO CURE MY SON !

My nine year old son had an abscess on his leg and because of a very painful experience in the hospital he didnt want to go back and I did’nt want to take him in,so I chose to search for a natural remedy. I came across this one in Margaret E Wright”s book of Practical Home Healing! On page 99 she writes” Use potato poultices externally for strains,bruises,infections,boils,abscesses,rheumatic and arthritic inflammations and sores.” So I happily prepared the poultice and applied it to his infected leg! He slept with it on over night and the next morning we removed it to change the dressing. Imagine my surprise when we removed the poultice and found that it had burst the sore and drained the poison out!! Completely!! So we washed the affected area with warm salty water and covered it with an anion dressing! In a matter of a few days it healed up very quickly! I am so grateful!!

POTATO POULTICE

1. Take a raw potato and grate it finely to produce a soft,pliable, mush.

2.Spread this onto a clean cloth and apply it to the affected area.

3.Cover over it with gladwrap.

4.Cover gladwrap with a cloth bandage.

5.Leave overnight and remove in the morning.

6.Cleanse affected area with warm salty water.

7.Cover with a clean dressing.

8.Continue salty washes twice a day until completely healed over!

Feb 2012 Healthy Living Workshop

Luuga and I held our first HEalthy Living workshop here in Caboolture for 2012.

Here this wet saturday afternoon we shared about the 5 point sto a healthy life.

We happily can say the afternoon was asuccess because a few people went home with more knowledge and good solid tips how to simply live a healthier life by making simple changes to what they do at home.

Tips like changing your tea choice to green or black tea to get 5 times the antioxidant power and not using cows milk in tea (or at all for that matter)

tips like using natural olive oil soap with no chemicals or harmful additives

Tips like drinking filtered water and drinking about 2 litres per day for average adult.

More in hot climate or working outdoors because pure clean water transports the waste  products of your cells out of your body

  1. Nutrition

firstly the importance of good nutrition , a hot topic lately but really only given lip service by so called health companies to sell more product. I.e why would a health co. put cancer causing ingredients in their products, look closely at labels to determine what actuallyyour putting into your bodies.

2. Exercise.

YOu really don,t have to do too much here, the trick is just do something at least three times a week. i.e brisk walk, park car further away so you have to walk more. take stairs instead of elevator. bike ride.

3. No smoking

tough one I know to give up, but this particular habit affects so many areas of your life.get professional help.

4. Alcohol.

All things in moderation and pick your choice with care, some beverages are best left alone, other things like red wine are beneficial in small amounts

5. Stress Management.

Plenty of studies about this nasty 21st century menace.

slow down , smell the roses, start looking at your priorites in life, get the perspective of an older person.
